Thyro 3 contains Liothyronine Sodium, the artificial form of the naturally-occurring thyroid hormone in the human body. They are taken for the purposes of body building. As these tablets could increase the metabolism rate of the body and efficiently utilize carbohydrates, fats, and lipids present in the body, professional body builders use Thyro 3  to burn off excess fat accumulated in the body. They are also used to combine with steroid hormones in order to enhance the utilization of proteins by the body for improving the rate of new muscle accumulation.
 
Dosage and treatment
You should use Thyro 3 tablets exactly as your doctor’s recommendation which may suggest a dosage of this depending on your medical requirement, body weight and other medical conditions as well as current medications.
Thyro 3 should be used once a day with or without food. Try to maintain a regular schedule for the medication such that you take it at the same time every day for getting the maximum benefit of the medication. Doctors usually recommend a starting dosage of 5 mcg and once a day. They may increase to 10 mcg daily for 1 or 2 weeks. When a patient reaches a daily dosage level of 25 mcg, Thyro 3  may be further increased every 1 or 2 week by 12.5 mcg or 25 mcg.
The usual dosage for thyroid level maintenance is 75 mcg daily. In senior citizens or children, it should be started with 5 mcg and increased by 5 mcg increments at the suggested intervals. Your doctor may alter the dosage of this drug and dosage period depending on your response to treatment.
If you miss a regular dose, take it as soon as you remember; or you can continue you regular schedule the next day. If you don’t remember the missed tablets until the next day, take your regular dose and skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose. If you miss 2 or more doses of Thyro 3 in a row, please consult your doctor.
Before beginning the treatment, discuss with your doctor about your personal and family medical history. Inform your doctor if you have had heart or blood vessel problems, high blood pressure, adrenal gland problems, diabetes, an overactive thyroid and a long-standing condition of underactive thyroid.
